Nose of rose petal, wet forest soil and strawberry jam. There is a slight trace of age in the orange rim but the wine is still very dark. The palate is still very powerful and round with strawberry and currant notes. The tannins are now fully integrated and the finish is quite long with fruits. Enjoyable old wine — 12 days ago
Definitely seems to have had some seepage in the past.
Deep ruby red. Dark and thick nose with dark berries, spices, and a touch of pepper. Medium tannins (5/10) and medium bodied. Nicely integrated and balanced with notes of plums, flora, gravel and spices. Medium to medium plus body. Drink now. — a month ago

What a beautiful Bordeaux blanc this is. 'Balanced' is one if the best descriptors for this wine. It hits all 3 corners of the triangle of deliciousness. Floral, complex, and balance. Alto is also a great name for this wine, because the nose hits high, bright and round notes of lemon oil, fresh ginger, pineapple, vanilla cream, white flowers, and smoke/flint. The pallet has some bright juicy acidity, and a round, refreshing, and light mouth feel - lemon tart, candied ginger, tangerine, underripe grapefruit, and white pepper lingering on the pallet for an awesome finish. If you can get some still, buy it up. It's a must for the cellar diversity, and it was created to resemble the best of Sancerre wines. It shares a striking resemblance!

Right out the chute as a pop & pour this wine is dominating. On the nose matured dark fruits such as plums & blackberries with a mild ripe cherry tartness, tobacco, potpourri, along with eucalyptus & forest floor overlays. On the palate incredibly delicate and expressive lavender, plums, Christmas spices, and blackberries. — 11 days ago
Yeah, it was good. I’d pay ~$30. First glass needed to breath a bit. — 13 days ago
$20 WTSO. Full body. New world style. Medium finish. Apparently retails for about $50 — 3 months ago
Medium garnet color. Pronounced aromas of cooked blackberry, strawberry jam, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, wood floor, tobacco, wet leaves, pencil shavings. Dry, acidity is medium+, tannins are medium , body is medium, intense flavor of cooked blackberry, strawberry jam, blueberry jam, wet leaves, tobacco, pencil shaving, nutmeg, pepper. Long finish. Some dried nuts in aftertaste.

Lovely wine, albeit a bit young. Plums, cassis, and blackberries. Nice structure and finish. Probably better to let it decant a bit. Improved over the course of the evening. — a month ago
