New wave of Cahors. A good volume due to the very greedy type of grape variety that is Malbec. Black fruits, marked and stretched mineral notes, soft and loose tannins. Balanced tasting. Great drinkability for its price range.
Cahors nouveau style.

Had the 2005 vintage - an expensive drop for us but completely delicious! Very different for a Merlot, incredibly woody and leathery, just south of Bordeaux and would have had a much heftier price tag if made a few Kms north. Excellent wine! — 7 days ago
Color of purple, nice legs. Nose of strength of alcohol, vanilla, tobacco leaves, strawberry jam, and more powerful spicy alcohol. Taste of good acidity, spice, sweet grapes, vanilla, zest, peppery, and a bit minty. Aftertaste of some hints of soft tannins and mineral, and some more ripe grapes. On par. — 13 days ago
A great Malbec! Red berries, new oak, white pepper, and barnyard on the nose. Spices and red currant on the palate Sturdy bodied with high alc and round drying tannins. Medium minus acidity.
UPDATE: Reportedly, this is aged entirely in concrete! Thus, my oak nose note is off.

Very dark. Purple urple. Smell is funky, and streaked with a jam of the vine. Flavors are full and tasty. Ripe, and bright. Reminds me of the great WA Malbec I had once. Past that grape Koolaide of Malbec you get sometimes. — 7 days ago
Lovely wine. This is deep ruby with loads of wet forest floor initially and after aeration it develops deep red fruit and oak scents. The mouthfeel is impressive, very round. Raspberry, vanilla, slight spices and soft tannings. Great vintage here. Cheers. — 12 days ago
Pretty unique blend here of nearly 50/50 Malbec and Merlot, just a little cab. This is a fun wine with good structure and lots of complexity. Earthy and tight but opens up to a good fruit forward finish.
@Jillian Varner says this is like a “musty cured meat cabinet” which is hilariously on point. — 5 days ago
