Ok this is my experiment!! My first experience with Domaine Tempier was three years ago; this wine, this vintage. Presenting with an extremely plush salinity in the mouth the wine was lacking just a bit in smell and quite a bit more in pallet.
I did some research..discovering that Bandol Rosé has a pretty unique aging potential. It took a bit but I was able to acquire another 2014...and I waited...(suggested 5-6 yrs.) So I split the difference ...almost!
This wine is so much better on the nose and palate...Rainier Cherries..Watermelon..Kiwi fruit..Jolly Rancher strawberries..tangerine and wet gravel!
Every vintage is different....the 2015 was great from the start and remains my favorite!! — 6 years ago

@Ron Siegel that’s a fave of mine. I also tasted 16 out of barrel and 07/06 in bottle at chez gonon a few years back. And I cherish my sole bottle of 2010!

Very nice, would love to visit Chez Gonon. I have been buying their wine every year since the 12 vintage. Never had the 10 but sure it is killer!

After drinking the ‘15 last week it seemed logical to revisit the ‘14. A whiff of reduction that mixes well with the apple and citrus scents . Beautifully handled oak that never intrudes on the wonderful pure fruit flavors.

@Alex Jones I have come to expect these things. Instead of purchasing 6-12 bottles annually I now buy 2-3 bottles. On the positive side it forces me to find a lower cost (hopefully not a lower quality ) producer.
