Côte du Py Morgon Gamay

Strawberry balsamic dominating a long, silky mouthfeel and finish. Balanced and beautiful and still could have gone longer.

Starting to lose freshness and the round sweet cherry fruit. I wouldn’t hold the 2014 vintage much longer. This was from a 1.5ml bottle. Drinkable.

Old faithful. ‘14 is open for business

Umami beef jerky. Super smooth classic ‘14. Fruity but not heavy. Soft tannins. Dried concentrated fruit. Nice!!

2014 vintage Brett and fruit here wild fruit the character of Gamay hanging on like this but so close to my threshold - great with duck

Not much to say about this benchmark bojo that hasn’t already been said, other than this vintage is a bit darker, denser and less open than others. It’s very enjoyable now with its supple texture, plentiful acid, sweet blackberry, dark cherry, campfire and dank earth flavors. But will hold the rest of these 2-3 more years as it has the potential to be special.

Touch horsey out of the gates but loads of Foillard spicey cherries. Earth, flowers and just that decadence of killer Foillard CDP. Juicy and so concentrated with bursting juicy grapes and terrific freshness. Really big structure and nice cut. Really great now but years to go.
