The wintertime combination of this lovely, medium bodied Rioja and homemade beef stew worked out perfectly. The wine was framed by cake like American oak and had an excellent savory dark fruit character. The finish was bright and the bottle too small! — 3 days ago
Lean and tight I can appreciate... But this lacked middle even after over an hour in the decanter. Too bad, because the leathery, rose and citrus aromatics were very nice. Served with leftover homemade lasagna crisped in the cast iron pan. — 14 days ago
Almost no vintage dated Champagne was made in the very wet, difficult 2011 harvest, this is one of the very few. This all estate grown wine is mostly direct macerated Pinot Noir from Cumieres blended with some North facing Chouilly Chardonnay. While not as concentrated or as lively in acidity as the 2010, this is still lovely rosé! — 6 days ago
Wow- this is how I remember some of the excellent 1990 vintage Bordeaux's at this age! The texture has arrived, but the wine is loaded with currant fruit. This had the acid to cut the waygu ribeye and more complexity than I expected. — 13 days ago
How could I drink this and not post it? I wanted to be a hater, but was happy to have a very good wine change my tune. The Rhone and Burgundy meet in this low alcohol, spicy, expensive oak kissed, dark fruited bottle. Nice with chicken and with a real future ahead of it. No waxed mustache 21 and a half year old sommelier comments... — 15 days ago
