Mysterious, beguiling Burgundy. This bottle played peek-a-boo with sappy texture, red/black fruit, leather and sous bois, with a constant of great acidity and lightness. I understand how many would not like it as much as I did. Excellent with chicken pot pie. — 14 days ago
We have the rosé, but we are still waiting on the weather to go with it. This very pale, salty, clean, refreshing bottle went down quickly and easily. The subtle fruit and bright acid matched my curry katsu/ ratatouille improvisation well. — 7 days ago
Bordeaux improves with age so reliably, I hope I can keep my hands off some of this long enough to see it mature. This bottle had very Margaux like perfume, big dark fruit and a long finish. This is richer than most claret we drink, but still has the acidity needed for pairing with steak. #steakandclaretnight — 10 days ago
When a red wine is a little green, it should be green like this one. Grassy aromas like top class white Bordeaux, flavors of cranberries roasted in duck fat, light in the middle, long and lifted on the back! Great with roast chicken and fingerling potatoes. Thank you 2004 for another good bottle- keep giving them up Burgundy guys! — 15 days ago
The reserve from Lesmos shows the most cake like American oak, and the sweetest, darkest fruit of their range. It drinks very nicely now and was a good partner for a paella stuffed pepper with an egg on top. Hurray for leftovers and Rioja! This wine was very easy to guzzle! — 6 days ago
One of the best wine and food experiences I have had in San Francisco in a long time. Salty, flor filled, almost fruity, almost watery- right between Manzanilla and Jerez Fino! Awesome with Bellota cuisine! — 13 days ago
