The nose is really superb, between bright notes of fruit (citrus fruits, apricot stones), barrel notes. Lively mouth, beautiful minerality, gunstone, notes of onion, poultry. Balanced, well-built body. Superb finish also, bringing together the tasting bouquet. Nice pleasure!
Colour shows no sign of aging. Such a classy nose and wine, light citrus, white flowers too, such class, elegance and balance, so fresh and deep too, extremely long finish. — 9 days ago
Generally consistent with my last notes, but drinking this side by side with the Cote du Py does bring to attention the differences in structure. At this stage, the Les Charmes has a slight edge over the Cote du Py for me due to it’s lacier texture and distinct mineral streak. The Cote du Py looks brutish even against this wine. A fascinating study of Beaujolais terrior. — 8 days ago
Pretty concentrated ruby dress. Evolved nose evoking Burgundy. In the mouth a beautiful smoothness, concentration, between evolved notes and fruit still very lively. A pretty bottle full of refinement. It can be drunk on its own.
Can still age 5/10 years, maybe more.
— a month ago

Off the charts good, textbook classic Syrah made in a clean and almost too perfect way. Where are the faults? Kidding aside this is about as good as anything I have had from St. Jo from Gonon or anyone else. All the classic notes of black pepper, roasted meats, bacon fat, olive, the hole package...the nose is very pronounced and the palate has freshness to the generosity, a super long finish and a very fun and enjoyable bottle! — 3 days ago
Continuing to dip into 2016 white burg at the top level and continuing to be pleased. Surely one of the most coveted and iconic Ramonet plots, albeit young, 2016 Ruchottes is very impressive tonight, proving the frost laden growing season is becoming a year of terroir over vintage. At first perhaps eerily opulent, it continues to focus with air and flaunts an explosive bouquet of stone fruit, citrus oils, wet stones, white flowers and toasty oak with Ramonet spearmint that comes in after some aeration. The palate is expansive, dense and concentrated with an elegant texture and just enough citrusy acids to support its imposing richness. If I were to nitpick I’d like more length but this is a great bottle. — 16 days ago
