Light bodied great nose deep red fruits and berries slightly herbal — 7 days ago
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading GERSHWIN (Piano Concerto in F), GERSHWIN (Variations on “I Got Rhythm,” for piano and orchestra) and STRAVINSKY (Petrushka) with the amazing Jean-Yves Thibaude as the piano soloist on the two first works presented today. Jean-Yves is by far among our favorite pianists to grace the Koussevitzky Shed stage, so graceful, yet poignant!
Hot days call for cool wines, today there are some fun ones planned for sharing.
Nose has blackberry jam on toasted brioche, violet,
bruised Tai basil, blueberry seeds and crushed ripe black currant.
Palate has peppered black raspberry, black cherry, tomato leaf and well concentrated blueberry jam.
@Carla Hine Thanks for sharing, top candidate for wine of the afternoon, along with the Minges Scheurebe!!! — a month ago
I’m trying to just get through the last of my 15 Bojos. Such a clumsy, blocky vintage. This one is one of the better ones. Tangy, ripe nose also sports smoky crushed rock. Flavorful and full in the mouth. Decent acids keep it from being a hot mess. A little flat in the finish. Not elegant, but a very nice dinner accompaniment. — 18 days ago
vinscoeur.co.jp Blue Hawaii. Lacy but high acidity is what I love about this wine the most. Nice firm but settle tannin is the second best. Love. 12.5% abv. — 17 days ago
A beautiful, delicious Beaujolais! Intensely fruity - mostly blackberry. — 2 months ago
Day 2 score. Very ripe. 2015 not my favorite — 3 days ago
Drank after a dank, remarkably humid & hot summer day, & cannot emphasize enough how welcoming this tasted. Black cherries predominate, has a touch of eety bitty fine tannins but this is really about gorgeous, meticulous fruit. Next time I’ll let it breathe, if I can resist the gulping thing. Kermit importer. Part of 1 of a 3 pack I was able to snag. — a month ago
Ok. This is my personal favorite wine, no matter the vintage, varietal or the dollar value. If i was granted one wine forever, this is it. As a Rhône warrior it exceeds expectations, and drinks like an amazing burgundy. Still young, no nose upon opening. An hour later this massive floral nose permeates though the rum of the glass. Tannins not fully integrated yet with a pleasant acidity. Time is beyond its friend. Earth tones are present along with expresso and tobacco. Red fruit front and center with a long finish. Wish this could be everyday Allday. — 3 days ago
