Vintage 2015 / wine from #umbria central #italy with the unusual blend of #sangiovese #sagrantino and #merlot (on barrel). It was quite harsh in bitters/aftertaste immediately after opening, tannins also. But when it had aeration the wine softened and even shows frivolousness 🙃 Beautiful strawberries in smell, smooth taste. I liked this transformation. Awesome PRQ. Vintage 2012 / Ha, in a blind tasting I thought this was a Brunello. 🤨 it does not have that typical stubborness of #sagrantino that I like do much. Brown rim, shy smell with cedar, noble. So much refinement. It may be a bit atypical for #umbria but who cares? — 8 years ago
