Vintage 2016 / White wine from #Corsica made from #vermentino Paired it with serrano ham and fresh figs, that worked well — 8 years ago
🍯 Distant taste of honey on its second day. Almost a bit syrupy but pleasant. This was a decent and refreshing choice for a hot New York day (in the 90s!) 🔥 #Vermentino — 8 years ago

Not red. White #vermentino from #elba #elbaisland #italy private label that was better than the other vermentino’s from the island that I tasted. Aromas of citrus and stone fruit and on the palate medium everything with sensations of tangerine rind and peach pith. Good substitution for a Pinot Grigio and more original. — 6 years ago
When Kermit Lynch tells you to re-visit the islands, you do it. #vermentino #corsicanwine — 7 years ago
Splendid Sardinian #vermentino - crisp, green apple and citrus touches with a touch of saltiness which I imagine would pair very well with seafood but also a nice risotto with Parmesan sauce. We were fortunate to enjoy this reasonably priced bottle in a restaurant in Milan. — 8 years ago
Vintage 2016 - #vermentino from #sardinia with a smell of almonds, citrus. High acidity. Not so simple to recognise when you get this in the glass blind. Good concentration. Bitters in a long aftertaste. Character. // With Dutch shrimps and avocado. — 8 years ago
Green / yellow apple nose with some traces of white flower; lower acidity on palate, characteristic #vermentino touch of salinity - paired quite nicely with broccolini spinach fettuccini with a red sauce. — a year ago
Enjoyable #languedoc #vermentino #marsanne #grenacheblanc blend - medium plus body, golden yellow color. Melon, some nutty & honey notes on nose, interesting salty note from Vermentino on the palate. Could be interesting wine paired with charcuterie. #costcowines — 3 years ago
I’m not as enthusiastic about this one as Suckling’s 90 score. It’s a #chardonnay and #vermentino blend from #corsica - Richer lemony body plus faint tropical notes. It held up well over a week in the wine fridge so for the modest price it’s not bad. — 6 years ago
Nice seafood white wine from #valledeguadalupe in Baja California, Mexico. There’s a load of freshness and some floral notes from the #vermentino set against roundness from the #chardonnay. Lemon curd, grapefruit on the palate reveal a fairly ripe, fruit-forward style, but there’s still enough acidity for balance. — 7 years ago
Fields Family Wines 2016 Delu Vineyard Vermentino (SRP $21): Lodi may be best known for red wines—with Zinfandel leading the way. But don’t overlook the region’s bright and crisp white wines. This deliciously refreshing Vermentino delivers a reticent nose of spring flowers and ocean spray, marrying with vibrant stone fruit and citrus blossom flavors on the palate. It is lean and fresh in the mouth, with a lively charge of energy that carries through the pleasing, mineral-tinged finish. I could drink this stuff all day, and I bet you could too. It’s great on its own, and would pair beautifully with a wide variety of dishes. Less than 70 cases were produced, so the best way to get it in your glass is to visit fieldsfamilywines.com. You will not be disappointed (good people & solid producer)! #Lodi #LodiWine #wine #winewriter #wineblogger #myvinespot #Vermentino — 8 years ago
