Bodegas y Viñedos Las Nubes

Selección de Barricas Red Blend 2020

I do find the unusual blends in Mexican wines fascinating. Touch of oxidative and balsamic notes on the nose, luscious purple/black fruit in advance on the plate, firm acidity, very soft tannins to finish. #valledeguadalupe — 5 months ago

Casa Magoni

Valle de Guadalupe Chardonnay Vermentino 2018

Nice seafood white wine from #valledeguadalupe in Baja California, Mexico. There’s a load of freshness and some floral notes from the #vermentino set against roundness from the #chardonnay. Lemon curd, grapefruit on the palate reveal a fairly ripe, fruit-forward style, but there’s still enough acidity for balance. — 6 years ago

Nahual Valle de Guadalupe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

All the #mexicano #mexican wines that I tasted from #valledeguadalupe were salty. Interesting how the soils and the irrigation with the desalination plant can really enter the wine. I was impressed by this wine. Wasn’t expecting this quality. #cabernetsauvignon — 4 years ago

Hacienda La Lomita

Discreto Encanto Red Blend

Lomita 2016 Discreto Encanto Tinto (SRP $16): This is a blend of 50% Barbera, 30% Tempranillo, and 20% Syrah, from Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. It is easy-drinking and nicely balanced, with tart-cranberry like flavors next to floral perfume and a hint of bitter dark chocolate. This is an excellent food wine; particularly with a big juicy burger, red sauce dishes or cured meats. #Mexico #wine #winelover #MexicoWine #ValledeGuadalupe — 7 years ago

Alma Tinta

Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Quite an interesting #malbec #cabernetsauvignon blend from #valledeguadalupe in Baja California Mexico. I’m not quite as enamored with it as other reviewers but a not-too-jammy fruit forward blend that has some acidity and food friendly. It was delicious with some roast duck breast. — 6 years ago
