#umbria IGP blend of 34% #merlot, 33% #cabernetsauvignon and 33% #sangiovese - nicely concentrated prominent bramble fruit + earthy spice on the nose, well-balanced acidity, dark fruit and soft tannins on the palate. After a day in the wine fridge some prune notes suggest it’s fading after 5 years but helluva buy at Costco for ~$8.

Just a great drinking wine. Not terrible, not amazing, but great for dinners with friends who are not as familiar with wine.

Medium bodied. Was I tasting Tomato soup? Great on its own. Would have been better with a pork chop.

A very nice inexpensive red blend Spice and earthy with some light smoke notes. Also dark fruit. Smooth with some oak

Blackberry,blueberry, jammy....,did I mention fruit? An Italian impersonating as a cheaper French blend. Nice value but I’ve had better value. If you buy it pair it with fruit and cheese for a starter.
