Vintage 2015 - Festive rosé from #pinotgris from the Loire #reuilly to celebrate the third place of a Brabantse Wijnsociëteit team in the Dutch Championship blindtasting. The team consisted of @Diederick Swagemakers @Berry Marinussen @Noel Geisen and myself, coached by @Martijn I am proud! The curious rosé is well balanced and has a juiciness that makes you want to drink another glass. Very vivid. Good effort of Claude Lafond! — a year ago
Vintage 2017 / My brother in law brought this wine in France from the #loire and said: try this. I opened it for Sunday lunch with ripe Guadeloupe melon with ham. It surprised me, #pinotgris is seldom seen in the Loire area. It has a shy spicy smell and an beautiful balance in taste with refined sweetness. Awesome effort of the producer. — 7 months ago
Classic Pinot Gris from south facing slopes in the Guebwiller valley in Alsace. Off dry on the palate with some apple, pear and a touch of citrus. With good acidity and minerality, the wine did open up some more in the glass. Still youthful, it had a very refreshing mouthfeel. This would pair well with fois gras and soft cheeses.
