Opening bottle for a special night out, paired with a modern Korean tasting menu. Color is a knockout goldenrod, with the bottle age bringing a rounded, textured mouthfeel really matching the raw fish, Unami notes, & intricate textures of the first 2/3 of the menu. Dried apple, sulfured apricot, & celery notes. Elegant & pretty long. While dry really approximates an aged German Reisling, with such a plump, yet refined acid backbone. — 3 months ago
Electric on the nose!
Palate of plums, ripe cherries, subtle purple flowers, and tertiary characteristics of earth.
Very interesting! It almost tastes French!

I love this wine but I’ll admit it’s niche. Glorious confectionary nose. Clearly too young, as this wine really sings starting at 10, but whatever, I got too much wine to drink them all at the perfect time. Sweet wood, stone fruits and intense minerality. Some pollen as well on the nose. Such a complex nose. But in 5 years watch out! Palate is so elegant and rich but fresh from the minerals and not the acid which is merely solid. Really coats the tongue. So good. The finish is stone fruits, sweet wood and that rock licking feeling on your tongue. Just a killer Grau because it’s got that Laible magic. — 3 months ago

Outstanding! More minerality and longer in the palate then the Kühling-Gillot. Curious to drink it young once! — 11 days ago
