Medium-dark color with some bricking, this is more backward and less evolved than the 1990 side-by-side, showing dark fruits, some Brett, but some tannic structure as well, lacks that sweet American note of the 1990, long, lingering finish, and I’d guess another 3-5 years of further improvement.
I really adore these early Pesquera Crianza (the regular cuvée, the Gran Reserva was always too much of an oak show for my palate), a wonderful find a few weeks ago while doing some cellar rearranging!! — a month ago
This is really awesome, an incredible Ribera del Duero. Concentrated, but fresh. Fine tannins, and good acidity. Expressive fruit (berries and black cherry), spice, smoke, and aromatic herbs. Oak is subtle, and plays a supporting role here. Just brilliant - and a great wine with lamb or Latin food. — 3 days ago
Holy shit this is good. Chetillons magic. — 20 hours ago
Cork didn’t want to come out of this bottle, medium color with some bricking, lovely sweet American oak aromatics with some faint Brett notes, soft tannins, excellent acidity and balance, long, lingering finish with some sweet fruit, excellent!! — a month ago
Very surprised by this, but I guess no Mark Hébrart should be all that surprising. Definitely punches above its weight class, and has many similarities to the 2012/2013 PRSWC. Alluring freshness and vibrancy coupled with a shocking level depth and roundness. Very well balanced all-around; looking forward to cellaring the 2019s. Mouthfeel is pure velvet via a delightfully soft / oily texture. 60% Pinot Noir + 40% Chardonnay; Dosage: 4-6 g/l. Disgorged: 1/18/22 — 9 days ago
The nose comes at you like a firehose filled with citrus, honey, apple and almond. Crazy concentration that causes your cheeks to bulge. Insane level of acidity but it still manages to release flavors of citrus , honey and toast. A palate saturating finish . Given the bear hug structure I’m amazed how giving the palate is. — a month ago

Not very often do I post European wines. I do drink them from time to time but so much to explore in California! 1999 “Unico” brought by master sommelier Jay Fletchers to Cache Cache in Aspen. Richness and restraint with a deep almost coffee-like intensity. — 11 days ago
