Paired with chicken adobo and Downton Abbey, the palate harkens forth notes of balsamic vinegar, bloody meat, leather and ripe strawberries with velvety tannins and a tart, lingering acidity. I agree with a few others that have mentioned it’s roughness, it seems like the tannins are a little coarse. Lovely aromas with a perfume of #cabernet and #tempranillo for some reason on the palate it seemed more like a Rioja than a #riberadelduero — 3 years ago

Somewhat shy dark bramble fruit on nose, faint peppery spice and dark roast coffee on nose. Notable tension, spicy mid-palate with leather, tobacco and quite firm tannins on the finish that build with each sip. Next day some slightly raisin and prune notes were evident suggestion this #tempranillo from #riberadelduero might be at peak or perhaps wasn’t stored properly before we received it as a gift. — 3 years ago
