@"Odedi" not on TheSkipScale®️which is based on the premise that a wine at 89 points is practically unmarketable. My scale and yours are wildly different. 8.8=undrinkable. 8.9=passable but completely forgettable. 9.0=good. 9.1=very good 9.2=excellent. That way when I go back and look at my stuff, I know what I was thinking 🙃

Palari

Rosso del Soprano Sicilia Nerello Mascalese Blend 2011

Wow, after being disappointed by a poor showing from the 2009 bottle earlier this year, this 2011 is a stunner - immediate floral notes with earthy undertones on the nose give way to a dark cherry and subtle leather palette with a great integration between acid and some lingering tannins. What a deal for about 1/3 the price of the Palari Faro - which I️ cannot wait to try for this vintage. #QPR #Palari — a year ago

Bodegas El Nido

Clio Jumilla Monastrell-Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

Wow. Lived up to the hype. Promoted by no less authorities than @Carl Fischer and @Isaac Pirolo. The hype is real.

Many have suggested that this is Napa meets Spain. For me it's Mollydooker takes a Spanish vacation.

Bold and unctuous. Full tilt. Very high

@Carl Fischer, I wish I knew exactly what my malfunction is. I used to love the Rhone varietals, then my wife came on the scene - game over! @TheSkip, Rudius do a special Mourvèdre at a knockdown price. Grapesthewineco.com is still retailing the 14.

Best's

Bin No 1 Great Western Shiraz 2015

Dark crimson in colour. Some meaty charcuterie aromas. Medium weight and spicy with savoury berry fruit. Love this style. No expected black pepper - probably because of the riper fruit and warmer year. No overt oak influence because of the use of large format oak casks. Most enjoyable. — 22 days ago

Turley

Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Like a silk stocking! Evocative and ultra smooth. Rarely have I had such a young wine with such balanced tannins. Turley needs to make more Cabernet!!!! Great #QPR — 5 months ago

Multi Vintage Santa Barbara County Syrah

Very nice syrah! Loads of bacon fat and dark fruits and olive. Great #qpr at $35!

I wish more producers would embrace the multi vintage!

Tormaresca

Trentangeli Castel del Monte Aglianico 2014

I️ really enjoyed this Aglianico blend with Cab and Syrah from the Antinori Puglia house - Tormaresca - from 2014, this is still a baby and needs a few more years for the savory flavors to outduel the tannins, high #QPR — a year ago

Laforet Bourgogne Chardonnay 2014

Really surprised how much I like this. Starts with a bright nose. It has acid similar to a Chablis and the unripe apple, lemon, and complexity of a Beaune. Great value Chardonnay that eschews the flabbiness and oak of others in the price range. #qpr — a year ago
