Still a baby, this is all primary fruit with gorgeous floral violets, a sweet leather note and a subtle savoriness. The palate is intense and a little less complex than the nose. Burly and intense, with wonderful acidity and firmly grained tannin this will do well with 5+ more years of bottle refinement.

Light Sumatra coffee notes, with dark cocoa nib and baked red plum with a borderline persimmon coat on. A drop of night blooming jasmine surfacing briefly and African violet, and a fat lily thickness. There are baked cherries and a smoky paprika, too. Rosso di Montalcino 2013

Baby #brunello ? Not really, but it's a decent lighter Tuscan Sangiovese nonetheless. Cherry, touch of vanilla and spice aroma with softer tannins (than the 2010 judging by other reviews) and some nice acidity. Pairs pretty well with red pasta dishes garnished with Parmesan though it's just mediocre when sipped without food.
