It was smooth but seemed ripe and high alcohol and a little bit tired. I feel like Valbuena is best drunk young.

2010 vintage. Vega Sicilia portfolio tasting, Berry Bros. & Rudd, St James's, London. Deep and concentrated wine, smoke, tight. A touch balsamic with hints of dried plums. A touch vegetal. Full bodied and powerful. The wine has acidity, structure and power but lack so far body/flesh with a bitter finish. No doubt it will improve with time. One to keep.

Lovely lively and fun. Good mix of fruit with density.

I wish I could drink more

Stewed fruit, raspberry, coffee, chocolate and earthy. Very rich. Good balance and great complexity. Very enjoyable and should age well.
