Perfectly balanced, deep and fresh in flavor, a model for what the Tinta de Toro can be and achieve with balance and precision in the winemaking. Young and right, but lots of juicy acidity and freshness. The tannin is perfect, not too firm, not too dry or too ripe. Blue, black and red fruits with a beam of vanilla and cinnamon spice from the new French oak. Enjoy now with am 30-60 minute decant. #tintadetoro — 9 years ago
Deep, dark and elegant. Like a Black Stallion. It's so cool how the variety of #tempranillo #tintadetoro can be so different from its brothers and sisters. #smoky #meaty with touches of #paprika and #roastedredbellpepper one of the great #toro originally made by #eguren now a #vuitton #hennessey venture. — 9 years ago
13 years in and still a joy (with a good bit of life left if you want to hold). Aromas of jammy black cherry and bacon fat. Lush cherry and blueberry backed with licorice and mocha, moderate buoying acidity and still-firm tannins. Yum! #tintadetoro #toro #spanishwine — 7 years ago
Intense at first in the nose with muddled cherry and blackberry in liquor, this wine is in control with perfectly integrated oak and fine silky tannin. I expect much more of a beast in the glass but this is beautiful and classy. The fruit on the palate has mellowed out and adds spice and grilled herbs. #toro #tintadetoro aka #tempranillo #vegasicilia — 9 years ago
vertical tasting. smoother and well structured tannins, impressive how the alcohol is so well integrated. #tintadetoro has a big body and structure that can hold to alcohol. beautiful black fruits and baking spices.#toro — 10 years ago
Only time can tame the Toro tannins, man can only hope to contain them!

Plum, blackberry, rich but refined with very full grain and ripe tannin that meshes well with the full, but not overblown Toro style of wine. I had this from a 3L a few days before and it was much more open and naturally in a better place being open and decanted naturally as this was near the end of the 3L.
Top 3 producer for me in the region.
American, French and Hungarian oak, 70-30 or 60-40 French to American, Hungarian <1%. 200k bottles of production.

#tintadetoro greener tannins, still a pleasant wine, great project and beautiful caves #toro — 10 years ago
#tintadetoro still needs some aging, slightly harsh tannins. astoundingly well integrated high alcohol, notes of black plums and fruits with black pepper and hints of vanilla. #organic #toro — 10 years ago

Ripe and smooth #toro #tempranillo I enjoy this wine because I feel that it’s representative of what and how Toro is. The clone #tintadetoro has thick skins and more tannin and ages beautifully. — 4 years ago
