Dark ruby in color, almost Inky, with a wide reddish rim.
On the nose blueberries, black currants, black cherries, light vanilla, coke, licorice, Indian spices, tar, light vegetables, earth, tobacco leaf and graphite.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, wood, spices, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and earth.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Franc blend from Italy. Tangy and interesting with lots of fruit.
Better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Really loved the nose after 2 hours in the decanter.
Showing very nicely at this point, once it opens up, with nice complexity, good structure and a nice mouthfeel. I love these Italian Bordeaux style reds.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and good with food too. I paired it with cheeses and Italian dried meat.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A small production of only 8,000 bottles.
14% alcohol by volume.

Really nice blend. 48% cab sauv, 21% cab franc, 21% Syrah, 10% Malbec. Nose was blueberry, earth, pepper and a hint of vanilla. Smooth mid plate with a medium weight and good balance of fruit and acidity. Oak, blackberry and raspberry with pepper, spice and forest floor that lingered for a long time. Enjoyable. — 6 days ago
Love this wild Savoie kitchen sink red blend. Really a terrific wine for the money. Really vivid nose of pure cherry fruit and mountain spices. Fir trees. Hint of game. Almost sausage. Saucisson. But high toned and floral as well. Palate is ripe and clean with terrific clarity and freshness. Very energetic and linear with terrific length and lovely dash of mineral intensity on the finish. A great wine. Terrific concentration and the best most charming rusticity. Surprisingly persistent. I mean really persistent. — 12 days ago
Detroit. Living large with my boys.
On the nose this is complex. Comes across as rustic, with notes of graphite, cinnamon and cocoa powder. Palate is ethereal, as expected. Nice weight and balance. Somewhat dry mouthfeel with medium tannins. Mature cherries blend with moderate acidity. Finish is completed with cigar box. Food will help this wine. Drink or hold. Loving the moment…

Beautifully full bouquet. A daily man's Super Tuscan. A melange of perfume - fruity, sweet, savoury, old leather, oak. Chewy. Brilliant complexity on the palate represented by it's nose. Raisin, peppercorn, graphite, leaves.Much patience needed for this. — 6 days ago
Side by side against the Hunnicutt Brinkman (GIII fruit), Bevan’s blend was more fruit forward, a little richer and more dense. Raspberry and blackberry morphed into a darker, slightly earthy finish still with pronounced fruit. Less complex than the Hunnicutt but still a great bottle of wine. Really hard to go wrong with either one. — 9 days ago
Celebrating my 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ wine!! It’s been fun learning so much about wine and meeting new friends beyond the app! I wanted to pick a really good wine for this milestone but I happened to have this one in my wine fridge and it meets the criteria I wanted for this post. It’s full bodied, fruit forward and has a smooth long finish. @Delectable Wine please add this wine to your list thanks! — 5 days ago
This is an extremely dark wine, inky black, and it smells of black plums, blackberries and black cherries. The palate shows a terrific display of said fruit with a savory blanket of spice and licorice thrown over it. The tannins are a bit tame, but that fault does make for an extremely sippable wine. It will pair nicely with pork or tomato-based dishes. — 6 days ago
