Elegant. Soft tannins. Nice balance of nose and taste, and earth. Very covered fruit. Stayed with us over an hour meal after opening up. A wonderful old friend.

Still showing well. Nice bottle evolution...everything still well knit together. The mid red fruits shining, tannins completely resolved with a nice balance of nice light earthiness. @ Pebble Beach Food & Wine.

Reconditioned at the chateau. A great meaty and dirty example of aged Bordeaux. #morrellstafeducation

The 1989 vintage. Could not be anything other than Bordeaux - lovely perfume. Even though from a good vintage this was probably more impressive a few years ago when it was plush. These days drier tannins and spicy rather than fruity notes. Still enjoyable but cellaring is not the be all and end all!

Still pretty young, although there is a touch of funk. A lot of tertiary aromas, with cedar and cigar box being the most prevalent.
