Dried herbs de Provence, black currant, some leather and black soil on the nose. Plum acidity, flavors matching the nose and peppery spice opens up the more it sits. Some lactic and vanilla comes out as well. Spice plus refreshing plus having depth. — 16 days ago
Haven’t had much (any?) Saint Amour before so not sure how it typically compares to other Cru Beaujolais. But this one at least is redolent with violets, tangy raspberry, cherries, blackberries, dried herbs and earth, with maybe a slight charred quality on the finish although that may just be the power of suggestion from the name of the lieu dit. Satin smooth, Burgundian texture — 7 days ago
Had on New Year’s Eve. Raspberry, strawberries, slight toastiness. Grower champagne disgorged June 2018. Great value. — 20 days ago
This should be their Cab Sav. Nice mouth feel, dry, with dark fruit and a little tobacco. Gift from my SIL for Christmas. Enjoying with a nice spicy taco soup and some football. — 4 days ago
Beautiful, full Meursault. Surprisingly sweet, but extremely well balanced. — 5 days ago
