1 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A splendid dark medium garnet with little bricking. On the nose: expressive perfumed nose with dark plum/cherry, currants, milk chocolate, baking spice, floral, wet forest floor, touch of roasted meat. Taste: silky, balanced, elegant wine that is singing at 20 years with dried red fruit, earth, chocolate, cedar, minerals, saline, and a spiced-tobacco-green bell pepper long finish. YUM! — a month ago
Brioche, pears, with a nice bold, crisp touch. — 12 days ago
Cork giving out but why not after 19 years! Wine is escaping to fresh beauty with a little wet dog age that I like.

14.7% is reigning it in on this varietal and well done! Doesn’t feel fire breathing at all 👏 — 2 days ago
Outstanding. A little light in body. But wow. So delicious. — 2 months ago
Meaty and intense. Lush with violets, a deep purity and smoothly intense. Really great stuff. A little more powerful than the 82 alongside but a whisper less refined — 8 days ago
Deep purple color. Aromas of raspberry, cherry cola and cedar. This one is still young and a little tight- definitely needs more time or decanting. Very good flavors of red fruit, spices and oak finish.

2023 vintage. Curious as to how Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet (starts in the $400's a btl) tastes, this is an excellent place to start. This effort clocks in at under $100 a btl. 04.23.25. — 2 days ago
