I thought this showed exceptionally well for a vintage that for me usually shows a real lack of intensity on the left bank. This was mature, lively and open for business. Worn sweaty leather, grainy damp earth, round warm full deep crimson fruit.

Started off a little closed, opened up to be gorgeous. Wonderful balance, nice acidity, could age a while longer, but I would just enjoy these right now.

My favorite of the night. Red fruit singing, wet compost, leather jacket, allspice, stellar structure.

Still grapy cassis and blackberry aroma stand out but with silky texture, some sweet vanilla. Maybe reaching its peak but still potential.

Lighter style but still delicious and very true to its origin. Cassis, red currants and positive vegetative notes on the earthy finish.
