Enjoyed at La Forét in San Jose, CA. — 2 months ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (41%), Merlot (50%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (2%), aged in French oak, 45% new, same ownership as Lynch-Bages. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of red and black fruits with smoky spice. On the palate flavors of black raspberry, currants and black cherry with licorice, toasty oak and tobacco. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy tobacco spice. Starting to drink well now and will continue to develop! — 2 days ago
Ah so nice to find a ‘15 vintage. This is classic Bordeaux, a little leathery and earthy, and cassis notes on the finish. I love it. — 2 months ago
Good Bordeaux, maybe should age another 5 years. — 6 days ago
2022 vintage. Another good effort from this Pauillac that was an underachiever for many years, but it is definitely not in the same league as the excellent 2020. Good concentration, and ripe, slightly jammy fruit. While the oak is perfectly integrated, it is too toasted for my taste. If you like that, you will score this higher. Abv. 14,5%. Totally blown away by the extraordinary Gloria 2022 tasted alongside. — a month ago
