Pian Dell’Orino Vigneti del Versante Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2014: Smooth & elegant. Lively acidity. Medium tannins. Nice cherry bouquet. Red fruits. Leather. Herbs. Earth. Powerful long finish. All in all, I love this Brunello! Call me a creature of habit but this is my happy place. Grilled marinated skirt steak and a bottle of Brunello! Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago
Yum! In fact, yum, yum, yum. Excellent California Cab that is the quintessential iteration of the region and why CaliCab has become so popular. I would drink this anytime, anywhere with any red, roasted meats, hard cheeses and crusty breads. Excellent wine. — 6 years ago

Bright red fruit with good grip. I think this would work better with food rather than just on its own. — 6 years ago
Had this vintners Timarosso same night & both lived up to the hype. A decade of age has made this Barbera blend a deep, soulful expression which I had not yet experienced in such a blend. Game, ripe ripe cherries sing once a decent decant tames the initial shrillness & one note balsamic dimension. Special, for old school fans. — a year ago
Tasted “I Palchi” 2019. Best (and most expensive) Soave I’ve ever had. Almond-floral-lemon pith flavors are in perfect balance with such high intensity. Body is so viscous while alcohol is balanced. So complex — 4 years ago
The 2016 Barbera vigneti “Cerreto” appears a deep garnet color with a translucent core and slightly watery rim; medium viscosity. On the nose, medium intensity and initially gives an overall earthy impression accompanied by dark tart cherry, dark plums, red flowers and freshly laid asphalt. On the palate, the wine is dry with stewed dark cherry fruits and again with all the earth. Medium tannin, medium+ acid. The finish is tart and long. Tonight, this came across rather young. I would hold if I had any in my cellar and try again in 2023. That being said, it paired well with our pasta and sausage tonight! — 5 years ago
Where and how to begin! Complex, I don’t understand how it isn’t. So many notes- definitely herby, certainly tobacco, yes the fruit is there, but so is leather and earth. If this is not complex then I am not sure what it. A great pleasure to drink this in an era of easy pleasers. This makes you work, but it is worth it. Try it. You will not regret it! — 6 years ago
One best of the best natural wines I ever tasted. So much balans and sophistication. I love this style — 6 years ago
Bone dry Italian white I got from Wine Access. This wine is so foral on the nose and goes great with cheese. Perfect wine to start the evening. — 6 years ago
Nice flowery and fruity nose. I think I will keep my other bottles a few more years to see if and how it can develop further.
The acidity is at a nice very old balsamic level. — 2 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Vigneti Costacurta Ghemme. Thanks!
Nose is full of spice and tar Big potpourri vibes. Floral and cherry. Cardamon. Clove. Deep and keeps revealing more and more layers. Nice. I like it. Juicy, balanced, pure. loads of tangy fruit. Deep, elegant, sappy and explosive. Big, grippy and ripe tannins but not obtrusive. Really clean and fresh. I love it. Really good length. Terrific wine and length. Wonderful. — 4 years ago
Been a while since I’ve had this in my glass. Oh how I’ve missed thee! Similar to what I remember about Morei, it carries some nice flesh and roundness to it, seems more open knit. Finessed and elegant, brimming with purity and freshness. Crushed morello cherry, pomegranate, blood orange, juniper, bitter herbs, rocks, licorice root, smoke. I want to say its too young but its energy and refreshing nature make it hard to argue keeping it. — 6 years ago
@Jordan Wardlaw read my mind. I had the same thoughts - those who enjoy the better balanced Sonoma County Zins will appreciate this #montepulcianodabruzzo for the tremendous value that it is. Classically Italian nose with some tobacco, earth and spice aromas. There’s a wave of juicy dark fruit, coffee notes, and mouthwatering acidity. — 7 years ago

Not sure where I am at with Timorasso but this wine had a lot going on. Fascinating aromatics and crisp and lively on the palate. — a year ago
