Very pleasant and, dare I say, cheap food-friendly Montepulciano. Old-school Zin drinkers in CA will love the briary fruit, good acid structure and clean winemaking. Tremendous value for everyday quaffer.

@Jordan Wardlaw read my mind. I had the same thoughts - those who enjoy the better balanced Sonoma County Zins will appreciate this #montepulcianodabruzzo for the tremendous value that it is. Classically Italian nose with some tobacco, earth and spice aromas. There’s a wave of juicy dark fruit, coffee notes, and mouthwatering acidity.
