Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2016

John W

Dark ruby coloration showing some translucency. On the nose, cherry, dark berry, anise, florals, and vanilla- hints of minerals and clay. On the palate it is rich and full, with notes cherry, dark berry, anise, vanilla and clay. Chewy tannins balanced nicely. Medium finish. A bargain value wine - -$25 at B-21. — 3 days ago

Il Vino Dal Tralcetto Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2018

Deep garnet with some inky purple depth. Tart cherry, strawberry, and blackberry for a bit of depth. Brambly. Plenty of acid makes for a great food wine. Really solid. — 17 days ago

Nose > palate. Nose bursts with flowers—primarily violets—and fruit. Palate has the same but slightly subdued. Cherry, violets, and mouthwatering acidity. Fruits lean lighter, but a dash of raspberry mixed in with the watermelon. — 17 days ago

Spelt Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2016

Note to Delectable; this is not from Tuscany. It’s Montepulciano d’ABRUZZO. Little lighter and leaner than the 2012 I had, but still full of flavor. Nose reminded me of Zin. Blackberry, cherry, cloves, beautifully balanced. A terrific Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. If u like them, try this. — a month ago
