July 4th Friday was a total blowout! Killer bottles one after another. Here are just a few of the bottles we all enjoyed!
I think this could have been even better if this was served at the right temperature as it was pretty warm (room temp) when opened. Muddled red fruits, tobacco, and cedar at first before the fruit turned tart/youthful adding some cassis and clay. — 7 years ago
Think it’s all been said about this gem - excellent opportunity to drink aged Riesling, thanks @Lyle Fass — 2 years ago
Gorgeous. Intense and lifted. Multi layered. Really fresh with great length. Wow. On the reveal, what happened to Leflaive that their wines show like this at 30 years yet 10 year old grand cru are a premox crapshoot? So disappointing when you see how these age. — 4 years ago
Very smokey and Oakey cab, cherry as well, 1992, could drink this all night — 6 years ago
Tour d’Argent. Deep golden color, like motor oil in the glass. Darker than the 90 Raveneau next to it. Notes of apricot, oranges, wet stones and cardamom spice. Rich, fat and opulent in the mouth. Thought it was tired at first but it powered up with air. Gave that fine grained acidity after several hours of air. At peak or just past, but very memorable. — 7 years ago
Lovely mature Cabernet fruit, structure, yet seems fully mature or close to mature, a real treat to taste an older CA Cabernet with age (@ 12.5% ABV to boot), lovely!! — 10 months ago
8/21 Just a beautiful 1992 wine that was soft but still had fruit and structure. 92. — 5 years ago
Dark red, browning and clear. Nose - Green Veggie, blue red fruit, mushroom and pepper. Taste - velvety, tannins sweet but present, chocolate, blueberry, dark cherry with touch of cedar coffee. — 8 years ago
Conrad Green
