In love with Bordeaux and white burgs. Also digging bottles from the up and comers from Paso. Cheers!
Lovely white blend that consisted of 55% SB, 39% Chard, and 6% Viognier and showed the best of each varietal. Honeysuckle, White stone fruit and almond scents. Ripe peach, citrus and honey with a bit of oak. Mineralfinish. Not unlike a muersault. And at sub $30 it’s perfect for anytime drinking! — 10 days ago
In the white burgundy style. @bergstrom knocks it out of the park. White flowers, green almond and stone fruit aromas. Marzipan, vanilla, honey and marcona almonds. Long, focused finish. So lively for a 2009. Would def buy more of this! — 8 days ago
Wound super tight on open. A three hour decant helped a lot. Black fruit, dried herbs and caramel aromas. Tobacco, tar and spiced red fruit preserves. Still quite bright for 10 years old. #barolo. Time will be this bottle’s friend. #poderialdoconterno — 14 days ago
Recommend by a friend and was a nice surprise! Started out with scents of black plum, leather and tobacco. With some air it became almost jammy. Three hours in, black fruit, bramble and a little vanilla on the nose. Softened tannins with flavors of blackberry and plum. Refined finish. — 2 days ago
A little wine a day keeps the COVID away! Notes of cedar and cherry on the nose. Smoke, unripe plum, raw meat. Surprisingly smooth red fruit and dried herb finish. Even with 7 years of cellaring, this bottle is wound pretty tight. Should have decanted,l but since we had already had 3 bottles we didn’t. Needs at least 5 more years IMO — 11 days ago
