Tasted blind. Medium gold color, heavy in the glass. Tropical nose. Notes of lemon creme, nutmeg, vanilla, almond paste, tan spice. Rich in the mouth, with a finish that packs a wallop. I start with thinking this is 92 Leflaive, but the acidity and structure in the finish pushed me to guess 93 Carillon BBM as the bottle. Over the night this got better and better, a full 7 hours after open/decant. As good as white burgundy gets. Thks Stan!

Tasted blind. Medium gold. Rich, “wow” nose... has a noticeable power that is a step above the other whites tonight. Lots of lemon and citrus, some gravel stone and dirt, tan spice, white acacia flowers. Later some creme brûlée thing pops in. The experience goes on and on for hours. Has an amazing level of balance... fruit, richness, complexity and structure. Again shows us this is an all time white. We all nailed our guess on this beauty by the process of deduction and the obvious quality of this amazing, in great condition juice.

Medium to darker gold. Noticeably darker than the 85 Leflaive Batard next to it. Worried that maybe the auction acquired bottle had poor storage at some point. But with air this blossoms and comes on strong. Notes of lemons, tan soil, white flowers and some river rocks. Rich and opulent. Acidity grew up to the last sip 7 hrs after opening. (Bday dinner 5/13)

Tasted blind. Medium gold and heavy weight in the glass. Powerful nose with notes of apricot, stones, white clay, honey and lemon. Amazingly richness and glycerol in the mouth. Huge wine. Expansive.

Really nice. Reeeeally nice. Just a touch of oxidation, but still quite lovely. Again against my advice poured from bottle and not decanted. Truly better after a tonne of time, but whatcha gonna do. Not my circus, not my monkeys
