Enjoyed alongside some other Napa legends from the 80’s and 90’s. This was stunning and to my palate, on this night, seemed to show the best of the Napa flight. The 1992 shows classic Dunn Howell with ample dark and red fruits, tobacco, earth, leather and fine baking spices. Stout structure. Everything in beautiful balance. Drink now with unmitigated glee and through 2042 because just like Barry, this has Staying Power.

Deep, dark color. Sharp nose. Notes of tobacco leaf, cut Cuban cigar, black fruit and some cedar wood. Very angular in the mouth. This was good but had an odd mean streak in it that was herbal and very strong. After 7 hours of air it mellowed a bit.

Still some tannins and a good amount of fruit. I don’t think it will be any better with age .

From magnum.

I don’t mind a hint of Brett but...(this has two-three hints).

Dunn...how do I love thee, let me count the ways. A gorgeous expressive nose of black olives, black cherries, dried red currants, cigar box, and bay leaf. The palate shows such refined elegance with medium+ body, fine grained tannins, bright acidity and a pronounced flavor intensity of black cherries, red plums and black raspberries well integrated with notes of black olives, dried oregano, bay leaf, cigar box, soft leather, and violet leaves. Each flavor pops and shines until the extremely long finish. People always ask me about my favorite Napa producers for long-term aging and Dunn is always at the top of my list!

Great. On the nose dark red fruits, blossoms, eucalyptus, minerals. More of the same on the palate with a lengthy finish and plenty of intrigue. Still feels young, but in an old school way.

Our good friends were kind enough to share this incredible wine wth us from their cellar!!!
what can I possibly say about this wine that has never been said before. It is the epitome of opulence: Rich, dark fruit, bold yet seductive. I truly think the only way to enjoy a Dunn to its full potential is if it is 20+ years old. This was in full stride and was absolutely amazing! Thank you Bill and Jill! This was definitely my wine of the night in comparison to the Pomerol!

92' Mag tasted much better then the 750. The mag has got 15+ years left in it. We enjoyed this wine over a three hour plus party. Excellent effort!
