This is a Zinfandel based on balance and elegance with bright red fruits (red cherries and red plums) with that back slash of white pepper and a touch of earth. Nice bright fruit and not jammy. — 9 years ago

Dunn...how do I love thee, let me count the ways. A gorgeous expressive nose of black olives, black cherries, dried red currants, cigar box, and bay leaf. The palate shows such refined elegance with medium+ body, fine grained tannins, bright acidity and a pronounced flavor intensity of black cherries, red plums and black raspberries well integrated with notes of black olives, dried oregano, bay leaf, cigar box, soft leather, and violet leaves. Each flavor pops and shines until the extremely long finish. People always ask me about my favorite Napa producers for long-term aging and Dunn is always at the top of my list! — 9 years ago
If you don't believe that Chile is making interesting wines that have intense fruit and structure, take a look at this wine. Rich and lush with gorgeous black fruits (blackberries, black currants) blueberry pie, leather, dark chocolate, sage, toast and oak influences. This wine is full throttle, but the ripe tannins are balanced by the acidity. Not an ounce of green notes on this wine (my usual tell for chile) This wine could give Napa cabernet a run for its money.... — 9 years ago
