Leather and spice up front, with a trace of dill that softens into dark cherry after an hour in the decanter. — 9 hours ago

I mistakenly selected this bottle of the Moelleux rather than the Sec version of Clos de la Coulée de Serrant. And I gotta be honest, I didn’t even know this wine existed. Oh well, I can’t feel too bad about it, lol!Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 “Moelleux” pours a golden color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady notes of ripe orchard fruit: Gala apple, lemon drop, citrus tree flowers, lanolin and mild eastern spices. On the palate, the wine is off-dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the flowers took on more of a honeysuckle character. The finish is long and the texture is wooly and substantial. Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting from a Moelleux and actually comes across more Demi-Sec; a very pleasant surprise since it was picked by mistake anyway! This is better as it warms up and receives air. Can drink now with patience but better after 2032 and through 2052. — a day ago

2 hour decant. A striking purplish dark garnet color. On the nose: beautiful notes of dark fruit, pencil shavings, herbaceous, vanilla, cloves. Taste: creamy, polished, structured wine with blackberry, dark chocolate, minerals, bell pepper, leather, and a decent herbal/potting soil finish. Drinks surprisingly well with the decant at this age, and of course a few more years it will improve. YUM! — a month ago
+2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). An amazing dark garnet color. On the nose: You must breathe in this captivating nose of dark red fruit, herbaceous, smoke, sweet florals, worn leather, licorice. Taste: layered, balanced, silky wine with brambly raspberry/cherry, peppery tobacco, gravel, smoked leather, tar, and a long drying finish. YUM! No need to hurry plenty of time to go. — 14 days ago
Not sure there are better 13 whites than Raveneau. Lafon also comes to mind. It’s an early drinking vintage (by Raveneau standards) while you wait for 12 and 14, and no Chapelot this year so it’s blended in here. A multi-hour decant has it showing superbly, wafting layers of créme fraîche, baking spice, crushed stones and a touch of botrytis influenced saffron. The palate shows immense power, concentration and depth of waxy yellow fruit chiseled with Chablisen minerality, brilliant tension and racy lemony acids. MDT always hits 🫰🏻 — 16 days ago
1 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A splendid dark medium garnet with little bricking. On the nose: expressive perfumed nose with dark plum/cherry, currants, milk chocolate, baking spice, floral, wet forest floor, touch of roasted meat. Taste: silky, balanced, elegant wine that is singing at 20 years with dried red fruit, earth, chocolate, cedar, minerals, saline, and a spiced-tobacco-green bell pepper long finish.
