Ethereal. Red fruit, candied lavender, iron, blood and sweet sage. Everything balanced. Palate coating but never obvious. Fine, fine tannins. A revelation to me. Excellent in every way.

Slightly cloudy, hazy and slight rim variation. Plum, black cherry, coffee, chocolate, mint. On the palate m- acid, m body, m+round tannin and finish. Fantastic.

1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A majestic dark garnet with some bricking. On the nose: red fruit, herbaceous, eucalyptus, forest floor, touch of stewed meat. Taste: smooth, creamy, silky, supple tannins with cherry, cassis, milk chocolate, cedar, pepper, minerally and a nice medium plus finish. YUM! Drinks well with time to go.

From magnum.

1 hour decant (some fine/cloudy sediment). A bewitching inky purplish garnet color with a touch of bricking. On the nose: expressive nose of blue fruit, pencil lead, floral, little minty menthol, touch of stewed meat. Taste: BOOM! a silky mouthfeel....creamy, smooth, rich, full body wine with blackberry, crushed stone, cedar, pepper, licorice, and a minerally blueberry loonngg finish. YUM! Gonna be a great 4th of July evening!

A very powerful wine from a classic vineyard ands showing beautiful blue and black fruits with a seam of underripe strawberries to back it all up. Strong mint varietal character kind of wraps that fruit up with a touch of chocolate... Peppermint Patties but also with those Queen Anne cherry chocolates. Tasteful usage of oak helps mellow the power this wind has bound up. There are layers to this wine after some time in the decanter, showing graphite and framing the wine with a distinct sense of place. This wine has life in it still and is starting to just now start swinging well and probably for another 20 years.
