My last bottle was 3 years ago and I said it needed a long decant. That’s no longer needed! This wine is drinking fantastic right now pnp. Tannins have softened but still have a bit of an edge mid palate. Fruit is big and juicy and ripe, black and red, with hints of blue coming through as it opens up. Graphite, black licorice, pencil shavings, pipe tobacco. Really lovely flavor and structure. Finish is a bit light but overall drinking in its prime now! And fantastic for a 2017. — 20 days ago
Enjoyed this at La Voile in Boston with a ribeye. Very easy drinking. Medium light bodied. Dark fruit, fine smooth tannins. Great value. — a month ago
Drinking very well now. Really enjoyed it. — 4 days ago
Almost 3 years since my last bottle of this and my notes are very different. Thought this would be drinking well now but it’s still tight on open. Bright ruby colored, big red cherry and tobacco nose. Red fruit, earthy, tight. — 8 days ago
Same comments as before. Luscious, opulent, big and bold wine. Great strong mouthfeel, big chewy tannins, blackberry, black cherry, cassis, vanilla, strong minerality. A big wine and really enjoyable. — a month ago
First bottle of the 2010. This is gonna be a really special wine but I think it need another 5-7 years. Tannins and softened, fruit is there, acidity is still strong, and don’t get me wrong it’s great now with a couple hour decant, but in a few years it’ll be really nice. Getting black, blue, and dark red fruit, ripe and juicy. Man so silky in the mouth. Graphite, stone, forest floor, cedar, hints of camphor, black licorice. Wonderful. Nice medium + finish. Really nice, only going to get better! — a month ago

A young wine, that will only get better. It’s big and bold, big ripe red and black fruit. Big chewy tannins that have softened up a bit but are still bold. Solid acidity, gonna age well. Also getting licorice, pencil shavings. Very good, will save the rest for a few years down the road. — 22 days ago
Nose of baked plums. Dark fruit, cassis, plum, hints of iron, cedar, slight oakiness. Very nice mouthfeel, suave fine tannins, holding together very well. Enjoyable. — a month ago
