Very young. And tight at the open. Yet, there is a freshness that transcends the tightness. With time it opened up and was fresh and extraordinarily balanced. Lovely bottle. Wow, almost four years since my last bottle. Big wine! Tannins softened and chalky. Acidity still strong, yet still very balanced with just ripe dark fruit. Charcoal, pencils shavings, granite stone.
