On a hot sunny Sunday noon in Singapore, this deep maroon coloured, chocolatey flavoured grape smelling，plumy sweet corn lasting wine, went super well with home made carbonara with truffle oil and baked portobello covered with cheesy deep fried bacon bits. Not any other day during this Covid-19 period. Keep safe! — a month ago
lovely nose of spice, flowers, wood shavings. Chestnut and also minerals. Sour cherries and red cherries from mid season. Palate is ripe and rich with wonderful fruit and huge density. Velvety tannins and terrific purity. Rustic and charming and very well made. 9.1 well balanced. After air gets more precise, sweet and concentrated. — 10 days ago
Aromatic and heady with melon, stalky wild flower and exotic tropical fruit notes like jack fruit? Quite unctuous and textural on the palate of medium plus intensity - soft acid. No further cellaring required. An eclectic mix of Garganega, Trebbiano and Sauvignon Bianco. Finishes with a refreshing bitterness. Good and different - a nice change. — a month ago
Nose is smokey, tarry and reserved initially. Nice spices. Some tea. But seems like it’s about to bust open in 30 minutes or so. Chestnut. Some mid season cherry and minerality develops. It’s getting floral now. Palate is juicy, ripe and dense with great freshness and expressive mineralIty. Concentrated and really complex. Worlds better than the Gallina. Needs maybe one hour open but terrific energy, density and freshness. Long as well. Balanced. Substantial tannins but velvety and just barely sweet. — 10 days ago
The aromatics are of average intensity with notes of dark cherries, spices, pepper and cloves. The wine as a good mix of the Barbera’s acidity and some integrated tannins, easy drinking, good even if not very complex. To be slightly chilled before serving.
Nez moyennement aromatique de cerises, épices, poivre et clou girofle. Bouche alliant acidité appuyée et tannins intégrés, agréable, sans être très complexe, à boire un peu rafraîchi autour de 17-18 degrés. — 3 days ago
