A very well preserved cork and good fill.. On the nose dark fruit and some heat. Liqueur like aromas. In the mouth the wines structure showed some signs of life but I found the fruit to be “pruney ”. and roasted . Clearly a wine that showed fatigue.

An epic wine from a classic producer in a great vintage. What else could you want? I was surprised by its virility and freshness. There are decades left in this juice. Very slight bricking, but mostly translucent garnet. The floral and mineral notes alone are world class, not to speak of the beautiful pure red fruit, truffle, and minty flavors. Finish lasts for minutes...
