Tried this twice recently. From a small grower who specializes in Pinot Meunier, with vines are planted in clay and chalk-based soils. A nice alternative from the usual blends, made with 100% Pinot Meunier. Intense aromas of red fruits and bread notes, nice mousse and bubble flow. On the palate juicy red berry fruit flavors with spice and toasty notes. Bold ending with toasty, yeasty, brioche notes, lingering on an elegant finish. Very Nice! A Fav!! — 16 days ago
What a wine. I love the Rebourgeon version of this wine. Super stoney nose. Just killer. Cherry pastille. Deep, loaded with terroir. Gorgeous subtlety and detail. Unfolds. So good. Terrific structure and sweetness. Elegant, tannic and tight. Insane depth here as some think Pezerolles is better than Rugiens. It’s a good debate. Terrific inner mouth aromas and such power and definition. Extraordinary concentration and purity. Perfect balance between tannin, acid and earthiness balanced with sweet fruit. Long finish. Very typical Syrah aromatics, flowers with violets in particular, pepper and dark fruit. The wine is so good and approachable now despite it’s youth, medium bodied plus, fruity and juicy with nice strong tannins that have a great silky texture.

Nose has dried peach, grilled pear, oxidized yellow apple, fresh almonds and dry sandstone.
Palate has oxidized pear, lemon pith, candle wax, ripe yellow apple with great acidity and long finish. Wonderful wine.
A blend of Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng & Courbu (1/3 each) makes for a nice, dry Jurançon wine with a slightly oxidized character. — 3 days ago
Yowza. This is crazy. Stunning mid season cherry. Just phenomenal pure, deep and clear cherry. Sick clarity here. 9.6 nose. Just insane. Stones, soil, licorice as well. Floral. So focused. Amazing fruit clarity here. Top notch. Superb concentration and power. Sappy and so pure. Electric freshness and just ridiculous energy. This is so balanced, deep and well made. Big noble tannins that are perfectly ripe and just gorgeous. Juicy clean fruit and so stoney and mineral. Utterly classic and superb Pommard. 103 year old vines. — 11 days ago
Beautiful entry-level cuvée by one of the great artisans of the Northern Rhône.
Simple and straightforward Syrah. Nose and attack on fresh black fruits (blackberries, blueberries). Clear neat body, enhanced with touches of violet, white pepper, and slightly minty, characteristic of Syrah ... Final which unfolds admirably with delicately chiseled tannins. Nice bottle to open as an aperitif, on a cold meats and cheese board, ideally accompanied by some fruit and nuts, and a piece of fresh baguette.

Corp limpide soigné, réhaussé de touches de violette, poivre blanc, et légèrement mentholée, caractéristique de la Syrah... Finale qui se déploie admirablement avec des tanins délicatement ciselés. Nose: gods blackberry perfume. Blackberries. Intoxicating. Elegant. A hint of sexy blackberries. sensual. Attacks the nostrils almost like a spice but not spicy.
Palate is clean blackberry juice. A hint of perfect cherry. The fruit here is insanely perfect. The rebourgeon style. Good intensity and palate thrust. A hint of blueberry.
I’m not getting much palate complexity at 2 hours or this would be higher.
