2000 vintage. Last tasted 02.09.24 (9.5) and 12.02.22 (9.6). Decent fill, solid cork. Decanted and tasted after 5 minutes. High decant had the appropriately aged, BDX funk in the atmosphere where multiple guests could smell it. Compacted, light body. Explosively complex flavors and notes. This is at the top of the bell curve currently. Possibly another 4-5 years in these lands. Yet again, need to pick up more. The very definition of finesse. 03.08.25. — 24 days ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (24%), Petite Verdot (3%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of plush black fruit, violets, graphite, leather, cedar and wet gravel. Jammy raspberry and blackberry fruit flavors with additional notes of plums, black currants, mocha, coffee, tobacco and baking spices. Beautiful hints of smoke and dusty earth on the long and precise finish. Rich and concentrated with great intensity. Medium-plus body and some noticeable tannins. Still a bit tight, but heading to a very good place. Thank you so much for the wonderful gift, Kasey and Pete! — 15 days ago
Pretty deep ruby garnet , but thin garnet rim. Quite ripe rich creme de cassis and dark plum , cherry , touch of spice . Quite rich and round on the palate also. Pretty gritty tannins . Dark fruits , cassis , dark plum and touch of spice , cacao . Touch of alcohol noticable. Quite good freshness , and dusty , cocoa stained , mineral , grafite hints . Good length . Still pretty young , this needs a decant or more time in the cellar , better in 5 years and will last well a further 10-15 — 24 days ago
Strangely oxed day one, glorious day two. Maybe it’s me? — 2 days ago
Decanted for 30 minutes. On the nose: cedar, sandstone, currents, hint of leather.
On the palate: dissipating tannin, softening cedar, emerging black cherry fruit and soft sandstone.
This is a big, beautiful Bordeaux at its peak with all the softness in the last sip that comes with age.
Drink it now. — 7 days ago
1.5 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable purplish magenta color. On the nose: very aeromatic notes of black & red berries, truffles, loamy soil, worn leather, tobacco leaf, floral, herbaceous. Taste: soft, elegant, balanced, layered mouthfeel wine with blackberry, dark plum, leather, crushed granite, dried herbs, and a spiced cedar long finish with some dusty tannins. YUM! At the start of its drinking window with 20-30 years to go, so no rush. — 17 days ago

Lovely bottle sweetness, fruit shows a little fat, as acidity has mostly faded, rich and deep flavors, medium-long, lingering finish, mature but still a lovely bottle tonight!! — 3 days ago
