What a nose. Custardy, gras, tropical but also granitic. Wow. So expressive. Citrus marmalade. So mineral and just expansive. Like a 9.6 nose. Maybe more! It’s a 9.7 nose. Sickness. Palate has energy for days and days and is so elegant, fresh and complex. Beautiful. Long. This is one of the best St. Perays I have ever had. Wow does it cling with super pure citrus and edgy tropical fruits that just coat the palate. Rich and energetic is my favorite combo. As this airs it comes more into focus and gets so nimble. So complex. Almost a 9.7! — 3 years ago
I have opened the 2010 Château Calon Montagne-Saint-Emilion. A blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose I am getting black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, herbs, tobacco, licorice, chocolate, spice and earth.
On the palate there is nice dsrk fruit, black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, bay leaf, licorice, herbal notes, graphite and earth.
This wine is medium to full bodied with a supple mouthfeel, medium+ acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that leaves you with a long dark fruit earthy finish. Have a great week ahead and please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago

Lovely intense medium cherry lipstick nose. Palate is crunchy cherries. Delicious. Perfect balance. Amazing freshness. Stay tuned ... this will change as it opens.
As it opens the nose is dense perfume. Really concentrated. Almost like a gas transforming into a liquid in your nostrils.
Palate is amazing. Terrific texture. Crazy internal aromatics. Palate coating beyond belief.
90 minutes in this is spectacularly delicious.
This vaporizes chevillon so bad it’s not funny. Cant believe this is a village wine. Wow.
Tanins are still a bit chunky. My guess is that they need another 2-3 years to smooth out.

Estate named Beau-Séjour in 1787 by General Jacques de Carle, proprietor at the time. Michel Bécot bought estate from Dr Jean Fagouet in 1969 increasing vines from 10.5 hectares to 15, acquiring Trois Moulins plateau in 1979, kept the name Beau-Séjour Bécot. Blend of 87% Merlot, 9% Cab Sauv & 4% Cab Franc. Nice berry aromas, ripe cherry & fresh raspberry flavors with notes of sweet cacao & tobacco adding some toasty notes. Firm tannins, not overpowering, lingering ending with tangy sweet oak.Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
