Black currant, cedar, tar, cigar box, coffee, vanilla. Quite a complex nose. The palate is very concentrated with a strong acid backbone, and some dark and dense matter with black currant and somehow dusty tannins that kick everything up. The finish is very long and very wide with some bitterness popping up, black currant, and a pinch of salt. We paired this baby with a gigantic beef T-bone. Perfect pairing. It's still very young and needs time. Not a 9 because it's still too young — 10 days ago
Dried fruit, currant, earth. Medium body and acidity. — 5 days ago
A nice Bordeaux. Has a velvety texture with heavy tannins. — 11 days ago
Now biodynamic and aged in 40% new oak. Deep Ruby, still young with aromas of black and red fruits with floral notes. On the palate blackberry and dark cherry flavors with notes of lavender, tobacco and pronounced chalky notes. Firm full tannins, long finish ending with fruit, very elegant. Let this one sit in the bottle for at least 5 years! — 14 hours ago
A smooth wine that was completely drinkable after opening. Standard Bordeaux on the nose with a palette comprised of subtle stone fruit and more powerful cedar - with a finish that concludes towards the stone fruit! A lighter version of Bordeaux that the more complex Chateaux, but a pleasant wine with our steak dinner nevertheless. — 19 days ago
Wow. The 10 rating is for how incredible this is considering it’s 58 yeard old. Incredible amount of fruit still present with a great flavor profile. Unbelievable. (Ignoring the quality/age ratio, it’s probably a 9.1-9.2, but easily hits 10 when other factors are considered!) — a month ago
A great, and kind Bordeaux. Round and smooth, small hint of chocolate — a day ago
Great... Easy to drink, had it with BBQ, beef... Enjoyed pretty much — 10 days ago
Finally, back stateside in Miami. Was very ready to come home. Maybe should have started with a big fat Napa cab, but this is what I had handy at my mother in law's house.
Thanks to everyone for following our Italian voyage.
This was a very solid Bordeaux that I should rebuy and cellar.
