Out of Magnum. From the phenomenal 82’ vintage, dense and mature, sweet black cherries and red currants transition to damp earth, tobacco and hints of cedar. The tannins are sweet and supple and the finish is long, plush and silky.

Bought on release and perfect storage for the last 35 years--subterranean and temperature controlled cellar near the finger lakes. 1982 richness and beautiful aromatics. Perfectly mature but not yet on the downside.

Showing great. Opens up right after pouring. Moist tobacco and dried currants. All the hallmarks of great, aged Medoc.

1982 now at or pass peak. Medium bodied soft soft tannins and harmonious acid balance. Very enjoyable.

At No 3 with my team. One written off bottle for one of these obvious reasons...Warm moss/lichen, dry wood and infused dry wood notes. Full, some flesh, fine and spicy tannins. Warm with a short, mineral (graphites)/smoky finish (storage).

Beautiful silky mouthfeel from its age but still had a nice backbone. Tar, pressed herbs and meat.

Picked up sulphur on the nose and palate. Wife picked up gasoline. Eh.
