Resolved and linear. A lovely wine, but lacking in complexity. Tannins resolves and little acidity. It was simply lacking in depth and disappeared on the palate like Copperfield in a bad illusion. — 7 years ago
Out of the bottle noticeable fruit and gripping tannins that give way to leather, cigar box and baking spices. Really well integrated right now with a silky elegance only an aged wine can demonstrate. I imagine this could last a couple more years but wouldn't push it. A real gem today. — 7 years ago
Put this baby in a decanter for 90 mins and you’ve got an elegant expression of Paso mouvedre. Although it’s only 20%, the fruit is sings through resolves tannins with the Syrah coming I with secondary flavors of pepper spice and a hint of leather. I️ had the estate cuvée recently and the fruit was all but gone so I️ pulled this on its 10 year and was pleasantly surprised. Wish I️ had more. — 7 years ago

A really lovely wine showing hints of eucalyptus, currants, wet dirt and moss. Over the course of a few hours the tannins calmed and the wine hit an elegant stride. I was surprised to see so much new oak which is my only criticism as it was a dominate feature through the entire bottle. Wish I had a more of this. — 7 years ago
