Lean iodine, green peppers with subtle hint of well worn leather, blackberry and cassis. Body is lean and aged but still enough softened tannin to keep the wine lively and wonderful soft lingering soft finish.

A really lovely wine showing hints of eucalyptus, currants, wet dirt and moss. Over the course of a few hours the tannins calmed and the wine hit an elegant stride. I was surprised to see so much new oak which is my only criticism as it was a dominate feature through the entire bottle. Wish I had a more of this.

2014 vintage. More oak and body than initially suspected. Medium body (but heavy for Margaux). A little rambunctious (almost Napaesque) but delicious and fat now. Concentrated chocolate and plummy finish.
