So beautiful and a perfect match to the food of Guadeloupe — 10 months ago
Damn this is some fine Cab Franc. If you haven’t found it, go find it. Layers and depth galore. Still pretty and balance to boot. — 2 years ago
Wow what a surprising and interesting wine. Done in amarone styling this wine must be very intense on release. At 24 years old it was still punchy but very drinkable. Layers of flavors and aromatics was actually great with the rack of lamb — a month ago
Well this wine was poured while in paradise eating amazing food but a brilliant wine, loads of cherry and red fruit — 9 months ago
Tasty a bit young but perfect for a Monday night — 2 years ago
Wow! I need to find more of this at 22 years old was still drinking fresh and sharp. Acid and tannins still solid but a lovely berry pop on the finish. Still probably has another 4-6 years of life — a month ago
Wow, the very last bottle in Higgins cellar. it was shy at first, quiet and understated. We thought for a second maybe the best years were in the past but we were rewarded with an example of the the beauty of Oregon Pinot Noir. As it opened up the layers of secondary notes took the forefront and the subtle gave way to a deeply complex wine, where the dance between vintage and winemaker had given way to vineyard and the knowledge to just let the wine be what it wanted to be. Cheers Doug best Brickhouse I have had maybe ever. Pure transparent terroir — 5 months ago
Wow this bottle was from Dick Erath’s cellar. It was in great shape, cork was frail but came out clean with Durand. Wine was so giving kept opening up. Showing tons of mineral, iron, a little earth in there too. After nearly an hour the fruit was just there to round everything out. Can’t believe this wine held up so well but old school under 13% Oregon Pinot is so great — 2 years ago
