Art Of Wine

Leeuwin Estate

Art Series Margaret River Chardonnay 2021

Though young and subdued the wine wakes with an hour in a decanter revealing white flower aromas, lemon, apple, subtle oak elements, white peach and light green herbs. Loads of minerality, crisp high acidity and a compact form that only becomes more opulent with time. A terrific wine. — a month ago

Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2015

Very light pale yellow robe, nose of orchards, limestone and a hint of honeysuckle. Very fresh and rich in the mouth, with lemon zests and mineral notes. Very long. A pleasure now, but hold your breath. A great Dom. Impressive how each year they get it right ! — 16 days ago

Produttori del Barbaresco

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2021

Ruby with a rich bouquet of fruit, spices and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with notes of pepper, cinnamon and floral. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy notes. Enjoyable now, a few more years will benefit. The ‘21 is a real insight for what the Riservas will taste like. Rated #7 wine of 2025 by spectator. — 7 days ago

It’s been many years since I’ve had any Musar wines, I have very fond memories drinking them in the 1980s when we lived in NYC and they were pretty easy to find at retail!!

@Anthony De Blasi, BTW, do you know what the cepage is in this wine?
Anthony De Blasi

Anthony De Blasi

@Doug Powers indeed, it’s a great winery with iconic wines. The cepage is Cab Sauv, Cinsault and Carignan. I still have the 2011 in magnum for my daughter her birthyear 🤩
