Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of black cherry, espresso, black tea, dried herbs and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now with patience but, to my palate, I think this will be better with a few more years in the cellar so the oak can better integrate. This is built to last well past 2041. — 6 months ago

20 years old & still drinking well. But drink it deliberately as it will begin to fade after 45 minutes open.
Nose of ripe fruit, tobacco, & a bit of spice. There is plenty of raisin/ripe cherry on the palate with initial strong tannin that softens and underlies the still velvety structure of the wine. It is a fully mature wine that should be consumed now as it will begin to fade in 2022. — 4 years ago
Wonderful in every way. — 6 years ago
Dry but not oaky (fermented in steel). Matched with Bianca pizza from pizza Solario. — 6 years ago
2021 vintage.
72 % Sauvignon Blanc, 16 % Vermentino, 6 % Viognier and 6 % Verdicchio.
Pale green gold in colour.
Citrus, white floral, green apple, fresh cut grass and asparagus.
Pleasant back and forth between citrus and savoury with minerality coming in the finish.
Absolutely lovely.
25 % new Barriques, 25 % used Barriques and 50 % steel tanks and concrete vats. — 2 months ago
2021 vintage.
Sangiovese 60 % and Cabernet Sauvignon 40 % from Pitigliano estate in Maremma, Tuscany with a southwest exposure.
Owned by Tommasi family since 1997.
Rompicolla is ‘breakneck’ but means tremendously steep and slippery slope…a risky adventure.
Soils are deep in volcanic tuff.
Stainless steel ferment and matured 1 year in 65 HL Slavonian oak casks.
Red cherries, raspberries, savoury spice, and floral.
Medium bodied but fresh and clean on the finish.
This wine loves food ….and I appreciate that. — 5 months ago
My first Timorasso. At first a bit dainty & shy on the nose; crushed nectar pits, white flowers, some white peach & artichoke hearts. On palate very textured, like Huet Chenin, but in a parallel universe. Minerally & reserved, this feels like it could go decades more- which is my understanding it can. The aroma notes are echoed on palate, with additional quince & pale fig notes, with a very slight off dry character (overall quite dry). For about 26$ a steal— I guess it’s a hard sell, this Timarosso.. This can either run as a food wine or not, & it’s delicious. — 2 years ago

On the nose a stable, dark fruit, wet leaves, licorice. A big wine in other words, this Super Tuscan blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Alicante, 10% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. On the palate there is softness, round, dark fruit, some tobacco. A lively wine with a bite. Great surprise. — 5 years ago
First bottle of a half case we bought at the domaine in 2021. Definitely will be better in a few years but nice to try one on the earlier side. What they say is true - this is really easily Brunello level. At this point the nose isn’t giving a ton, but there is great depth of fruit and earth on the palate. This hits in several more parts of the mouth than most wines and the finish goes on for quite a while. Medium plus tannins and acid which should balance out a bit with some more age.
Opened the bottle 5 hours prior to service and then decanted for 2. Real candidate to be 9.5+ in a few years. — 10 months ago
Good but not sure we’d get again. Lighter in color. Dryer. Not really special but highly tjs cost. — 2 years ago
Il Seggio Bolgheri Poggio al Tesoro: 2019. Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, plum and anise, vanilla and oak. Medium to full body, Cherry, vanilla, oak, anise, florals and chocolate in the finish. Excellent. At trattoria camillo, Florence. Tannins are present but well balanced. — 5 years ago
Stellar bottle of wine from one of the vineyards we visited in the fall. note to self: order more! — 6 years ago
I really enjoyed this!
Dark, thick wine where you can really taste the Syrah and tannins. Spicy and full of fruit. Paired very nice with prosciutto wrapped chicken. Definitely young with many years left in it! Not bad at the restaurant list price of £50. — 7 years ago

Another solid vintage of this Teroldego (90%) Syrah (10%) blend. Purple/ruby color with a dark core. Fragrant aromas of jammy black and blue fruit, dark cocoa and black pepper. Flavors of black berry/plum/raspberry fruit, blueberries, black licorice and fresh herbs. Long lasting and very earthy finish. Medium bodied and bright acidity. Slightly chewy (well integrated) tannins and relatively low (12.5%) alcohol. Nicely complex and well structured. Much riper tasting (probably warmer) vintage than in prior years. Such excellent quality for the price. Thanks for the taste, Chris B! — 2 days ago
