Well structured classic Sangiovese exhibiting dark, ripening fruit with plenty of soft spice and underlying soft tannin. This is a luscious wine from Laura Bianchi. Drink it now or wait a couple of years for more ripe dark fruit. — 6 months ago

Decanted for 30 minutes. On the nose: cedar, sandstone, currents, hint of leather.
On the palate: dissipating tannin, softening cedar, emerging black cherry fruit and soft sandstone.
This is a big, beautiful Bordeaux at its peak with all the softness in the last sip that comes with age.
Drink it now.

Soft, ripe fruit on the nose and palate. Plummy, prunes, & spice atop a layer of soft tannins. Ready to drink but it seems it could remain a keeper for another 4-5 years. — a year ago

The wine opened very hot on the nose & palate but with plenty of underlying fruit. 20 minutes decanted it evolved to cherry and tobacco on the nose and lively fruit on the palate. This is a rich complex wine with layers of fruit & some spice early … and then beautifully balanced tannins/ fruit in the long finish. It is mature but can evolve well for another couple of years. Drink now or in 4 years.
Loved it!

The 2016 a big wine & ready to drink at its peak. Open and decanted for 30 minutes- plenty of acidity and structure. On the nose and on the palate, tart fruit- dark cherry and raspberry- and cardamon spice. After 45 minutes open the wine softened and opened beautifully. My estimate is that It should be drinking well through 2027. — 8 months ago

On the nose this wine is ripe raspberries and it carries through to the palate. It is structured on soft tannins that dissipate on the palate after 45 minutes decanted. As the wine opens I get a hint of violet mixed with dark fruit. This is a beautiful wine to drink now & I suspect it will remain so another 3-5 years. — 6 months ago

Upon decanting for 30 minutes the nose is full of ripe cherry, tobacco & a bit of mint.
On the palate the nose is verified with good structure and soft tannin. it is medium bodied, delightful wine that is fully mature and has a long full finish. Drink it now. It is a lovely classic barolo.

Decanted for 30 minutes and still fragmented with tannin forward on the palate with recessed soft raspberry fruit, barnyard pronounced, slow to open and not attractive. 45 minutes decanted, each instruments of the symphony is tuned and begins to harmonize!
Raspberry/blackberry fruit comes forward, tannins recede, and hints of cedar & leather piqued the palate. This is s fully mature Bordeaux with a delicious subtlety that takes time to emerge. Drink it now as it won’t last long in your cellar.
