On this Sunday night I have opened the 2013 Michel Gassier Nostre Païs Rhone White Blend. A blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 15% Roussanne and 5% Viognier. From Costières-de-Nïmes, France.
On the nose there is lemon curd, yellow apple, citrus, honey, beeswax, licorice and minerals.
On the palate there is lemon, white peach, pear, honeydew melon, fennel, limestone and wet gravel.
This wine is medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, medium+acidity and a long citrus mineral finish. I hope everyone is doing well? Let's make the week ahead a beautiful one. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 24 days ago
Really hit the spot. Small pours to savor the fine bubbles. Bright front, long finish of fresh baked bread — 13 days ago
Big sherry, tons of spice, red fruit, a hint of peat smoke - incredibly complex and poised. — 4 days ago
2018. Pale straw color. Light citrus aroma. Very crisp, tart and mineral with flavors of citrus and apple/pear. Moderately long finish. Hugely drinkable as a summer wine (or anytime)! — 6 days ago
