The 2014 Jimmy Watson winner, and what a ripper it is. Needed a decant and a good splash to open up and reveal all the blue and black berry fruit and spice that made this such an enticing wine in its youth. Elegant, savoury and delicious! — 12 days ago
This developed positively from previous tastings here on Delectable. My brief notes - Liquorice; more savoury than fruit driven - Bacon, Charcuterie, spicy notes on the nose and medium weight palate. Some pepper. Very Northern Rhone in style. Certainly built for the long haul. I have 2 left - next in 2024. — 6 days ago
So I wanted to try some more Arneis after the Cayega. This was at my local wine store and turns out I had tried it before ha ha but it was a 2016 vintage. Herbs and Bartlett pear on the nose. On the palate it’s light and zesty, almost fizzy. And tastes of apricot, sugared lemon and marzipan. Delightful! I ❤️ Arneis! — 19 days ago
Beautiful earth, savoury nose, not obnoxiously Pinot. Lovely acid and tannin integration — 14 days ago
